How Casa Parola Started

Casa Parola began after its founder spent two years being passed between agency tutors for the same beginner Italian course, each one starting again from scratch because nobody had written anything down. The frustration wasn't with any single tutor, most of whom were good, but with a system that made it nobody's job to check the course actually added up over time.

The response was to build a curriculum in-house, level by level, and to check every tutor's teaching qualification and background directly before they take a single student. Lesson plans for the first month of any new course are reviewed by our head of curriculum before they go out, and audio material is recorded with named speakers from specific Italian regions rather than pulled from wherever was cheapest.

Pricing is fixed at the quote stage and covers the whole course, with no later charges for materials or marking. Scheduling is handled directly between the student, the coordinator and the tutor, and if something isn't working there is a named person to speak to about it, not a ticket queue.

Directness

We tell students early if a course isn't going to suit them, rather than keeping them enrolled out of convenience. It costs us the booking sometimes, and we'd rather lose it than mislead anyone.

Named Responsibility

Every course has one tutor and one coordinator whose names you know from the first email. If something isn't working, there's a person to speak to, not a case number.
